Macadamia and Avocado Cheese Ball


500gram cream cheese
1 ripe avocado
2 TB Dijon mustard


Paprika or parsley to coat
100 gram macadamias
200 gram roasted macadamia pieces


  1. Blend the cream cheese till smooth. Remove the avocado flesh and roughly mash, then stir the avocado and mustard into the cream cheese.
  2. The avocado should swirl through the cream cheese, not blend.
  3. Form into a ball and sprinkle heavily with paprika or parsley.
  4. Press the macadamia pieces into the sides and top of the ball.
  5. Arrange whole macadamias around the bottom of the ball.
  6. Serve with crackers.
  7. An ideal appetiser to accompany drinks.
